Prodigy - No Good Dubstep remix

I'm pretty new to dubstep, but have recently got into listening to your more mainstream artists like Skream and Benga who, like me, are from Croydon.

I lost my job on tuesday and have spent my time ever since doing this remix of The Prodigy's No Good. I usually produce hip hop but fancied a new challenge and this is my first dubstep track.

I used my MIDI keyboard to play and recreate all the parts of the track and then selected my own instruments and synths and used them to give the track my own feel to it.

I think this is why this remix falls flat

kind of sounds like one of those cds they have in restaurants that have pan pipes playing popular tunes

The parts you're recreating could have easily be sampled from the original track too and benfited this track tenfold - but if your not looking to do that then A for effort
welcome to DSF

Yeah welcome on board dude....

Post stuff like this in the dubs section from now on tho or the alapaca massive will rain down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger :D

Try it with the original samples and I reckon you might have a winner!

Peace

LLAMA and ALPACA 2 very different things. that shit can get u killed round here homes.

nah basically if u post in the wrong section or post somthing stupid etc, the alpacas will gather in your thread as alpaca lives of mistakes and ignorance of the stickies.

http://www.google.com/trends?q=dubstep

huge dubstep scene in Estonia and Scandinavia in general, they bring us skweee as well. if you can see what im getting at

the point these guys have been trying to make is that if it's a Work in progress, hit the stickied WIP thread up top and if its finished, hit the dubs section

'check my tune' threads in this forum are a daily occurance and this thread will inevitably see the lock when the mods get around to it (and probably more alpacas before then)

hope this helps

ps: i had a listen and its not bad at all, i recommend some compression on the drum bus, and maybe layering on the snare, keep at it bruv & if you need a listen on any of your tunes, get at me! not trying to be a prick... i am a supporter of independent music.. contact infos below

dude... i sympathise with losing your job. But you havent read the stickies, and these sort of posts crop up all the time, particularly prodigy remixes.

Put it in the right place and you will get the advice you are looking for.

And also the whole i only have 3 posts is very lame, you have come on a forum to ask for advice. are you 300 times cooler because you have less posts?

Brissance has obviously contributed a great deal to this site.
