As long as we don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the first one I reckon it'll be worth a squirt

yea, thats what im worried about. the first one was so good, that this one might be a flop..
still got some pretty tight producers on the scene though

I been waiting for this album for about 15 years it feels like lol; it's supposed to drop Sept. 8th

big week for hiphop, Jay Z dropping Blueprint 3 that same week...

also, if you go to okayplayer.com they have a video with Ghostface talking about a project with him, Raekwon and Method Man; a 12 track LP If the tracks are half as good as the one they did on Big Doe Rehab, count me in

I personally like all of Rae's solo joints. People kept expecting them to be Cuban Linx 2, and as a result thought they were wack. They were good albums...trying to put anything up to that album is ridiculous.

But now, this album better be fuckin crazy.

I also don't think the album dropping the same weak as Blueprint 3

:(
smdroccity i cant watch the vid! Cos im outside the US. that sucks balls!!
if blueprint 3 is coming out that week too, i think it might struggle.

In my opinion, Jay-z is puttin a lot of crap out now a days. lets hope he turns it round with this album. not a great fan of his, but i got a few of his albums.

and a bit off topic, but did u hear about the Black Thought (from The Roots) and Dangermouse collabo??
sounded SIIIIIIIIICK but i heard this news like 3 years ago!

I hope the wait has been worth it, and anticipation hasn't killed it, have to be honest though GFK Ironman is still my favourite wu solo album

ironman is a fuckin' awesome album! probably on par with cuban linx in my opnion. but my fave wu solo album is Liquid Swords by GZA, so so so so sick. closely followed by Grandmasters and Tical.

such great classics, u cant really get any more of this shit now a days.
it seems that you can only make it big if you rap about ''guns, bitches, bling and the size of your rims'' which is think is pathetic.

Yeah there seems to be more about pimps and hoes and all that jazz, but Wu-Tang are a little the same in some respects but do it in a less obvious way, C.R.E.A.M is a good example of this. I have to say liquid swords was awesome but Mtheod Mans Tical was ok, ish, not the greatest in my opinion

i thought tical was sick! not a huge fan of his newer stuff though.
but i think the 'new generation' rappers have spoilt the scene, like you ask someone: "do you like hip hop?"
and they will most probably reply: "yeh! 50 cent is sick!" or something on those lines... im not too hot on my mainstream hiphop to be honest. with all these new rappers like lil wayne (who i hate with a passion), soulja boi and shit like that.
you will hardly EVER hear: "yeh i really liked that GZA album liquid swords"

i can see a few of people disagreeing with this, but over here in the UK, you will 99% of the time hear how much they wanna suck off lil wayne.

... Did he hire a new ghostwriter? Otherwise, the album is guaranteed shit.

I see your point but do you really expect the kids to bang on about Liquid Swords?
It's really fuckin old, when you first got into Hip Hop did you go on about Kool Herc and Big Daddy Kane? Probably not, you talked about the Hip Hop which was current to you.
Liking Lil Wayne and 50 Cent is nothing to be looked down on. If these kids really like Hip Hop they will eventually come across some good shit.
I'd rather they were into Lil Wayne than Britney.

If anything liking Lil Wayne might teach the kids that it's ok to be different. I mean he aint exactly mainstream looking.

yeh i see your point, but dont diss britney :| lol jokes
talking about the music of 'my generation' i was 3 when 36 chambers came out and 5 when cuban linx came out... so its slightly out of my generation. my gereration IS 50 cents and lil wayne etc etc. not many good artists that i follow anymore, due to my new acquired genre of dubstep.

i mean, i got the jedi mind tricks album when that came out, and i think thats not too shabby.

I was 11 when Wu Tang Forever came out...and every kid around was HYPED. Ironman, everybody was amped. Imagine a bunch of kids ages 10-12 ACUTALLY knowing songs off that album word-for-word. Now? They want Rihanna and Hurricane Chris

Even shit like Illmatic we used to steal from our older siblings/cousins/people around.

And now that I think about it, Lil Wayne was doing shit back then as well....Tha Block Iz Hot album and so on. In any case...these people nopw are completey ignorant to anything that's not on BET/MTV. When I have kids I'm gonna control how much of that bullshit they watch...(unless BET goes back to being good).

But my favourite Wu solo album is probably Supreme Clientele. Album is superior.

Was 5 when I started hearing 36 Chambers. Played to me by my father. How many of you can claim to be listening to Wu-Tang in Kindergarten?

However, I gave up on Wu-Tang after... Last thing I think I even enjoyed that wasn't Ghost was that Gza Muggs thing. And even then, I spent most of the time joking about how Gza sounded like Jimmy Stewart from "It's A Wonderful Life".

Boy, i feel like a grandad reading down these pages.

I remember when the first Cuban Linkx album dropped back in 1995 ( I was 20). It didnt even create that much of a buzz as the Wu were dropping albums left right and center like no tomorrow and people were get hit with albums after albums and this just added to there growing collection.
The actual production was for me the best RZA came out with, proper stellar cutting edge futuristic beats that no-one had done before. Even new newer production sounds dated.
Having said that Liquid Swords, Ironman, Forever were also excellent albums, its a shame really that the momentum just died after Forever mainly the fact people wanted another Enter the Wu and Forever was scientific for most peoples minds.

Looking forward to this one, even though it should have came out around the late ninties after the Forever album, that would have gone in-sync with the changing sounds of the Wu.
