you'll be fine...i spilt a whole cup of tea on my laptop the other month.
i just drained it out (most of the tea poured out of the charger input) and left it next to my heater for a few hours. it was fine the next day

nah, i just turned it off PRONTO, flipped it up on my bed, and let the tea drain from the power input.
the tea was from a thermos flask cup, so i just poured myself another cup of tea and rolled a reuben while i sat there contemplating my stupidity.

mobile components are built to be incredibly heat resistant so i wouldn't worry too much or just get a cooler for it if it's that big of a concern

you could get a double sized battery too, i did and now it doubles by lifting up the lap an inch
or find low cpu programs and run in power saver or balanced modes

all you need to not do during a rave is not put your lappy on or near to a stack of speakers. i thought i was OK but the subs corrupted my hard drive from a foot away

glad i back my stuff up though

plus if you get a grated laptop stand you'll have some more airflow and could use a cheap desktop fan blowing underneath

big magnet + hard drive =

depends whether the system is magnetically shielded or not but i prefer not to take the risk now

nah i know that can happen since all a speaker is a big magnet and some sort of cone
the vibrations can wreak havoc on the needle on the hd too

thought it was a myth? they tested it on mythbusters check it out, used visacards instead but still, they got memory PLUS they used the strongest magnets out there so i think it can't be true

the mythbusters one was testing if cards could be wiped that way wasn't it?
there's really no argument that magnets and laptops can exist happily together. try it yourself if you want
