Most respected and influential people in the dubstep scene?

Post by dubjez » Sat Aug 15, 2009 2:54 pm

I was just wondering who people respect most out of the dubstep scene, who has done most for the scene, who are you favourite producers/djs, who does the most behind the scenes? etc..

Hatcha - Big apple, mentoring Skream & Benga, think he was the first to play DMZs stuff at FWD? Show on Kiss first dubstep show on legal radio?

Youngsta - A&R for tempa? is that right? works at BM Soho, Mentored loads of people I think from Headhunter to Kryptic Minds, D1 to SP:MC & Seven.. i think the mystickz aswell

Loefah - Pushed the Halfstep sound.

DMZ - Bassweight, think it was them who pushed a focus on to sub. Mala runs Deep Medi

Pinch - Brought the sound to Bristol, Runs Tectonic.

N.B. This might all be wrong and i purposely left out EL-B and Horesepower because I don't know much about them.
