i listen to more non-dubstep than dubstep

fela kuti - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoAI8IrGpKk

michael hurley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJmTJ66Hk-U

shellac - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb5W9Zl_7aQ

dead meadow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtqgUOdlVzU

stereolab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH3aQJj119Y

nirvana http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0GJ6roJAlY&feature=fvw

lots of different stuff really. anything from retarded black metal like hatebeak, to mid 90's indie rock and screamo bands like city of caterpillar/pg. 99, but dont listen to much of that these days tbh

same and dnb if i produce or dj a genre i don't listen to it heavily
production wise cause it makes you generic dj wise cause makes you predictable

Despite how old it is the production on this is amazing.

Heh, I was gonna say 'The First Taste' by Fiona Apple and... 'The Mullet Burden' by the Dillinger Escape Plan, basically.

o_o The Dillinger Escape Plan is what made me initially pick-up a guitar (I can play a number of their tunes: don't try this at home) and form a band (as a vocalist). Caught Jeff Tuttle's pick at Dour (third time I'd seen them) and Greg basically puked over me the... second time I saw them back in 2005. o_o

Other than 'Spiderland', Ire Works is also the only record I have both on vinyl and CD. Makes sense, though. With their dynamics and genre-melting, it's totally logical for them to be a huge inspiration on my breakcore stuff.

*nostalgia* The band defines my puberty. =[ Had sex to their music so many times.

Apparently TDEP's new drummer will incorporate some hard dnb rhythms into the next record, though they already incorporated dnb before.

And Fiona Apple's melodies just get me off. o_o I love her. O_o

I have that CD. B-] 'Irony Is A Dead Scene'. Did 'When Good Dogs..' every time I saw them live. Never caught the original line-up, though. Well, I was 9/10 in 1998. o_0

I originally read that as 'I'd love to fuck her with a dildo'.
