Filter cutoff

Anybody know how to make it so the higher the note played, the higher the filter cutoff in FM8? I'm using renoise, if that makes any difference.

If it has a mod matrix you should be able to route note pitch to filter cutoff. Haven't tried FM8 in the last few years and can't remember if it had a mod matrix, but if it does it should be as simple as that.

don't you need to name a synth in this question?

then the response might go along the lines of an answer. which will probably mention the fact that all synths are essentially the same thing and just transfer the technique over.

Yup, been called that on most synths I've used. Key tracking, Keytrack, Key.... look for a knob! (There are plenty in the SNH :P )

I found it in renoise. They have a built in keytracker device! This program is toooo much.

ok the synth is sytrus, or 3xOsc, or any synth :)

And perhaps you will find this useful:

And while many synths are generally the same, keytracking is one of those things which is often implemented, but implemented differently on each synth.
dude that is brilliant. BRILLIANT!
