Ok who fancies making a tune, basically we pick a key such as A minor, then each person builds a loop 140 BPM with 2 or three variations on a theme.... so one person builds drums, one person bass, one person pads one synths line... no one gets to hear the others parts then it gets put togehter by a live ableton jam and whatever comes out the other end is the tune?

Cool cool... so if we can get someone to do a melody/synth/lead part and then ill do the live mix at the end. Shall we say A minor? any preferences on the key? And set a deadline....

an afterthought... maybe for FX if people want to post a sample in here and then that sample MUST be included in the tune at one point??

that'll be cool, a sample which defines the setting of the track

I like to make my loops two bars, just to add one or two little extras for variation. Up to you though.

Mondays cool with me, got a gig at an all dayer tommorow and reckon sunday will be recovering time!... ahhh just remembered got sisters wedding next weekend so that makes this a two week project! ok..

So on Monday eve we each post a sample... Vocal or FX which has to be included

by Weds the 2nd of september each person provides 3 or 4 variations on a theme labeled (for example) Bass1, Bass2, Bass 3 and we all post them on the wednesday.

Then i'll do the live jam for about 5 minutes... add a touch of EQ and compression at the end and then post the 320 on Friday 4th?

Is that cool for everyone?

Still need a melody maker if anyone else is reading and wants to get involved

make each one as long as you like i reckon, ill just put all parts of bass in one channel on ableton and switch between them....randomly whilst smoking and dancing.... perhaps even drinking a beer :?
