Giving Up The Smoke...

Post by mickledan » Sun Aug 30, 2009 11:20 pm

Any done or doing this?

I've quit the cigs but I still enjoy a spliff and would prefer not to,

I know thats like, two contradictory statements but ...

A friend of mine cooks with it now, seems to shift him a few gears more than a Joint would... anyone else do this?

I've always fancied the idea of a nice vapourizer (spelling?)

Anyone have experiance with these? I know there are cheap and good ones but I have tried none.

Have managed to cut down to smoking about 3 cigarettes a day and have only smoked an eighth of weed in the last couple of months.
Id like to think for health reasons but its mainly because I dont enjoy it much as I once did and because the quality and prices are terrible these days.
I doubt I will ever quit completely though...

Smoked cigarette since I was 11. Smoked weed since I was about 15, I stop now and again and go through stages of not smoking it. I won't ever not smoke it. These days I do it in moderation. A henry now lasts me a week instead of a night :)

If I didn't smoke I'd be an alkie - which I used to be.

Never smoked cigarettes and smoked weed since I was 16.

You can make a vaporizer with a light bulb and a bottle top, blue peter style. They are harsh as fuck though, the high is different but it's difficult to describe how, you feel a lot more lightheaded and kinda floaty.

Recently quit smoking the green because I can feel it numbing my brain, but cigarettes are an essential to my diet haha.

also been smoking weed on and off again for about 5 years and regret smoking as much as i did during my school years, makes you wonder how you woulda turned out if you didn't go down that path, anyways im probably laying off the weed for the mo, but will get back into it someway or the other 8)

Vaporizers are great, but a bit different. Mostly get that head high since you're only inhaling the thc. You can get spaced the fuck out, but not much of a body high to speak of. I don't think I would ever smoke only out of a vaporizer, I like to mix it up. You don't need a volcano or anything super expensive either, just make sure it has a proper temperature read out and it's easy to adjust. Don't get an ultra cheap one either, as I noticed these take forever to heat up and you often end up overheating which gives this nasty burnt popcorn taste. Not fun..
Also stay away from those light bulb looking ones, more trouble than it's worth, they aren't too good. More of a novelty.

I've eaten edible cannabis, but i'm not really a fan. One of the reasons I smoke is the actual smoke and taste of it. Not gonna turn down some brownies or space cakes, but it's not my go to.

some shop here in rotterdam is selling herbalcigarettes... no nicotine in them, maybe you should look for something like that...?

I've stopped smoking cigs completely for over a month now, this is my 2nd 1/8th tho and allthough I will only smoke a max of 1 joint per day (usualy late at night) I feel some how it is perpetuating the addiction to 'smoke' in general.

I actualy 'enjoy' smoking, no matter what it is really!

2nd the heroin statement!
