Cheap Speakers

Post by .onelove. » Thu Sep 03, 2009 8:29 pm

Dubstep just doesn't sound good out of my tinny tin tin Laptop speakers, so I need an external pair that'll do the job just for home use.

Preferably want something that can play big deep low bass frequencies, but I realise I'm not going to get fantastic sound without a proper set up, that doesn't matter.

So basically, what are the best speakers for about 30 quid? Will these suffice; http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-X-230- ... 740&sr=1-1

Logitech make good speakers... unless you're getting a proper hi-fi set up, you can't go far wrong. Their subwoofers fucking KICK.

Im going to advise spending some money on this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-5500-D ... 247&sr=1-2

This shit will knock the photos off your next-door neighbours walls.

EDIT: I know it says cheap speakers but i thought i'd take the chance to be a slight big head.

Buying older audio equipment from pawn shops and the likes is honestly the best way to go. You get better quality for cheaper. Depends on whether or not you just want to shell out a few so it's better than laptop speakers but I spent around 20 USD for my setup and it shakes the entire house a little over half volume. They don't make things like they used to, everything is way overpriced just because it "looks nice" and comes pre-assembled in one little box.

But if you're just looking for something simple I'm sure those would suffice.

I think Nasty Nick from Big Brother is pretty cheap. He has some top-drawer anecdotes though.

What they look like is irrelevant, it's how they sound that is most important. What with them being speakers and all.

Out of all the stupid things you could have said on a thread about speakers that's near the top.
