I'm using an Oxygen 49. It's bloody decent for the money. I think it was £70-£80.

get a decent sound card the supports midi in
or get a midi to gameport adapter if your sound card/mother board has a joystick port
or have a look on ebay i bet they sell a usb midi interface on the cheap

I used to use an M-audio radium, and I hated it. I pawned it a while back.. since then I use my virus keyboard for midi and small drum machine for knob midi. I'd like to get another pure midi interface, but it would have to be something great, been thinking about the Akai MPK.
Before I got that M-audio one I used to use a piece of shit casio, but it had midi so it worked fine.. just no usb/weighted keys/aftertouch.
What about that one Rusko had on his desk, it looks like:

maybe this one

that'd be sooooooo frustrating but i usually turn the velocity off n do that via the piano roll
i hate swithing octaves aswell on small keyboards buy a decent sized one ;0)
