Converting "m4a" tunes to wav/mp3??

itunes has a function in one of its drop down menus that does just what yr asking.
if you haven't got its free from the apple website..

Yeah, itunes does that pretty nicely. Go into prefs and change your import settings to whatever you want to convert to. Then CTRL-click (or right click on the PC) on the track you want to convert and choose "Convert Selection To MP3" and off it goes.
If it's an AAC enhanced MP3, you'll lose the enhancements, of course.
For example: I put a lot of my mixes out in AAC/M4A format, so I can include artist & track names as well as different artwork for each track as the mix plays. If you converted that mix to standard MP3 you'd lose all the artist/track info as well as all but the title graphic.

I recommend Easy CD-DA Extractor. It converts every single music file type to any other, very good imo. It's shareware, but you might be able to get it from the usual places WINK WINK, oh wait, I mean,

cool edit pro, which i believe is now adobe audition, has a batch file convert option. it sounds like what marvel mentioned, except thats its a small part of an excellent audio editor.
