When Fairmont hooked up with Border Community to release the 'Gazebo' / 'Gazelle' double-header he didn't expect that 'Gazebo' would take on a life of its own, evolving into a club monster that causes the crowd to fly into raptures at the merest hint of the opening refrain. His debut album Hazyville was one of last year's most compelling and rewarding albums. Inspired by obsessions with artists such as The Beatles, Phil Spector, Can, Theo Parrish and Autechre, Lukid produced his 2007 debut album "Onandon" to wild critical acclaim pioneering the early developments of the new instrumental beats hybrid sound - a complex and intricately plotted instrumental document that unfolded with slow-burning textured detail, that often recalled the gravely disposition of early DJ Shadow.
