respect to macc and the jungle drummer, but in terms of overall dnb/jungle/techno live drumming and drum skills, jojo mayer is running it.

what i don't understand is how you can have 3 instances of battery on one bank of pads. does that mean he's clicking through the battery assigns, as he's playing the pads?

you could easily use something like midistroke, that lets you program your midi controller to execute a whole string of keystrokes. Thus, you could have your controller do all sorts of shit with the push of a button.

you could, theoretically, have your controller type an email with one knob... if you were really good....

check out midiStroke... for OSX. or controlAID.

[quote="seckle"]how long before someone does this in our scene?

i've been thinking bout live dubstep for a while now. jus beginning to record two tracks for an assessment at college and my first track will be a dubstep version of a dub tune.

it'll all be recorded&mixed by mid-jan so untill then i may jus post up rough mixes from tape to see what people think of the progress??

i also heard recently that unlikely from "dubpressure" in brighton is involved with a live dubstep collective?!?????

if anyone is in the bristol area then PM or email unkle_ernie@hotmail.com

Sorry i know that was a shameless plug, but i agree its high time people stop thinking this music is just the reserve of chin stroking super producers (as someone who is obviously not a fan refered to them - whatawanker) and could very easily translate onto the stage with a live band.
The bouncy energy and dark vibes of the digi mystiks whenever iv seen em dj has just slung me straight into a dub reggae skank, and i dont know if everyone else will agree but i think that kind of sound when combined with the energy of a live perfromance would fucking rawk.
