instra:mental and d-bridge are obviously the dons at this, scuba and blim&komonazmuk have bits in this style coming up. who can point me towards more artists that are repping the halfstep 170 bpm beats?

Amit and Digital are worth checking out (in fact i would say they are the dons/originators of this type of dnb)... check out any digital 2001 and earlier. I'm not a big fan of amit's newer stuff but these are definately worth checking...

amit - motherland (http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/se ... IDE022&S=2)
amit - changing lanes (http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/se ... EL9618&S=2)

This topic has already been battered. Go to:

http://www.dubstepforum.com/half-step-d ... 89027.html

Everything you need is right there.

My personal recommendation though - Lucio De Rimaniez - Brutal half step shiz going on, or as I have ended up calling it "military step"
