Yeah man - he's a heavy producer. I only found him by a happy accident. Bagged that Tetsu promo pronto.

Unfortunately no-one seems to have heard of him... (though that could be totally false) so I don't think the promo will sell quick enough to warrant a full release... which would be a shame.... that being said, having that as a limited white would be quite nice.

what else is going on up in Lancs? Anyone else we should be informed about from the underground?

Ekaj is one of the two producers I look up to in Dubstep, the other one being Toasty.

Why do the biggest dubstep labels ignore him and sometimes sign shite material instead is beyond me.

He doesn't get bigged up by Radio 1/Rinse/whatever dj's and how often do you see an Ekaj big up thread on page 1 of the dubstep forum ?

Yes, for sure, Ekaj is a SICK producer and deserves more recognition. His style is impeccable.

Lancaster underground pretty small town 20 miles north of preston never really had much of an underground scene except some killer free partys back in late 90s and early 2000. DJs /producers & bands from Lancaster.... Koma & Bones, Myself, Alphadrive...DJinn but i tink she be a morecambe girl but that dont matter cos shes a pretty sik Dubstep DJ

guys been decent for years! still remember when he moved onto dubstep, i liked n played some of his tunes immediately(before i even played dubstep properly lol). Still remember playing some track 'never forget' on a pirate radio station mainly doing garage and hip hop, got rewinds from the radio staff and guys in the room were asking me about it, funnily enough some of them guys are producing dubstep now!
I'm sure he will get more exposure soon!

Funny you should mention it. I have messaged him on myspace, but not heard anything back... I sent it a good few days ago...

Ekaj handed out a whole pack of tunes a couple of years ago, all good rolling breakstep. For some reason no label ever picked him up although there was talk of something on Destructive for a while...

very underrated, hopefully there will be more releases soon.

Check his tracks 'Interpol' or 'Splinter' from last year, production is amazing proper depth and clarity, still drop them now.

I remember there was a thread about him before about a year ago, man needs more props.
