Looking at buying some new needles...my current needles are shure m447 and they are just real bass heavy and sound muddy... not good sound quality. anyone else have this problem?

looking for something clear, yet durable to scratch with.

I like my ortofons quite a lot but they eat wax and aren't really cheap.
