I went to look at demontford yesterday and to be honest, it did look impressive
ive also looked at LIPA in liverpool n the equipment there was top notch, but it there was alot of snobbish pricks, n i couldn't handle that lol
Im lookin at Keele next week with a idea of a joint degree in Music tech and Marketing - Keeles meant to be sick for joint degrees.

i should add im interested in an honours degree only (either BSc or BA, but preferably BA)... and preferably away from london (high cost of living!! lol)
Im not too bothered about the best, just want to know what everyone else is doing and whether they are enjoying it or not...

yo i go keele. the place is sick (as soon as you get your head round the 'im fuckin stuck in the middle of nowhere' thing). there's a nice little dnb/dubstep electronic scene breaking out. BUT, ive had 2 mates leave the music course cos it was so shit. my house mate had to do a 3000 word essay on a primitive piece of synth work, it must have been the first synth ever cos it was shit and it was called the study of elastic.
sorry i cant give you a personal opinion i dont do music, but quite a few close friends have serious beef with it. if you need any more keele info let me know.

Not just saying it because i'm currently there but BNU (Bucks New Uni) in High Wycombe is standout for music courses. I've just started Audio and Music Production and the studio space is incredible. £68million on the new building, and £3million on brand new studio space. 3 studios, double figure editing suites, hundreds of Macs all loaded with PT/Logic, the works.

Following on, here's a link to the Uni's studio company. The images are from the old studio's which were actually on a different campus before the £3million move. I can't find anything of the new ones yet, but they're honestly something else.

Yeah it's supposed to be lovely studios but apparently the teachers don't know how to use it and keep having to ring up the techies to explain stuff.
Bare in mind this comes from my teacher at Leeds College of Music so it may just be jealousy

I'm at derby uni studying a bsc in music technology and audio system design. 2 good studios - one with a digidesign control 24 desk and the other with a BEAST 64 channel neve! Loads of hardware processors/effects too. Plus a room of 60 macs with logic and protools on. Just entered my final year and I'm looking forward to the mastering module!
