Funny how it goes though.
Just posted a preview of my tune and i got actuall feedback instead of "OMG SICKK." (Even tho the guy was really harsh.)

Re: New around here!
Would you rather he give you false praise or honest opinion (even if it is harsh?)GIGRA wrote:To be quite honest, im allready another producer on this website, so i know the way of the fox ;Pfrizzwah wrote:well that got ignored thenjsilver wrote:cool man welcome

Re: New around here!
i do prefer feedback, but if people start listing loads of things wrong with my track and beafore i posted the topic i was hyped.
Then that sends me on a serius downer.
I think producers are too picky and note all the little things wrong.
But, if i gave the same track to a non-producer they wouldnt really moan as much.(Maybe not at all.)
Im sure my points of view are very similar to a high amount of people on this forum.
Anyway, seems my first track hasnt gone down too well with people.

you need that though, otherwise how will you know where you are going wrongGIGRA wrote:I think producers are too picky and note all the little things wrong.
its rare on this forum that people just go out of their way to put you down for the sake of it (in terms of your own productions that is)

Not starting a whole thread off about production.darkmatteruk wrote:you need that though, otherwise how will you know where you are going wrongGIGRA wrote:I think producers are too picky and note all the little things wrong.

But, Music has no General rules.
(Bar a very few exceptions.)
You make your track how you want to make your track.
Your track may need improving or need mixxing, but at the end of the day.
You make your track how you want, theres no going wrong in that process.
The hardest part of making music, is making the track sound the same on a variety of speakers, headphones. ect..
Giving listeners the same vibe throught diffrent systems.
And that Reqiures a few rules on eq and mastering. But Thats the only main part of rules in my opinion.
(This is my point of view anyway.)

So why do you care that he gave honest (harsh) feedback?GIGRA wrote:Not starting a whole thread off about production.darkmatteruk wrote:you need that though, otherwise how will you know where you are going wrongGIGRA wrote:I think producers are too picky and note all the little things wrong.

Re: New around here!
That's true, but it doesn't mean that everybody will like the track. One guy didn't like it, so what? Maybe it's a masterpiece and the only guy that didn't like it wrote first.GIGRA wrote: You make your track how you want to make your track.

Re: New around here!
just so you know, quality of music isnt not subjective. there are objective technical details to quantiy and qualify music. So yeah, there is a right and wrong.

Re: New around here!
ye structure etc, sometimes there are just good tunes you know. One reason why DS is good is the diversity i guess? I dont like all this genre hogging like you HAVE you like a certain sound, a good tune is a gooooood toooooooooon.
