Serato help!!!!

So I am trying to record using Serato but when I play it back the track I record from vinyl sound great but any digital tracks I play come out silent or as a humming sound. I have tried running a cord out of the booth output to my mic input into my laptop and also from the booth to the mic on the serato box. Can anyone help me out?!
