Kode9 : portrait of the artist as a... writer

In an interview ( I don't remember on which website exactly... maybe I read that on dubplate.net ), I read that Kode 9 was in the process of writing a book.

Now, I would like to know if this book is coming along nicely, if it's been picked up by a publisher, and most important thing, what is this book about ?

I remember him saying that this book would include such things as ( I might be wrong ) viruses and zombies ?!?!? Correct me if I'm wrong !

Any info greatly appreciated !

A good starting point for what might be in his book might be his blog...lots of things on there about viruses and dub zombies!!

kode9 has an article in a book called 'Speed Tribes: netwar, affective hacking and the audio-social' - it makes for very interesting reading, if you're into your spinoza and social theory - dunno if this ever got a publisher - last i heard it hadn't.

woah! those links look mighty interesting. respect!

one of the reasons i got bored of dnb was, that although the music was / is a sonic portait of the future, no one was interested in exploring that idea outside of the music.

nice to see some of the dubstep heads embracing cultural side of the music

most of the stuff at those links pre-dates dubstep and was being inspired by jungle and early rave so i guess you could say that some dubstep is based on/informed by some of these ideas
