catchall Breakbeat Garage / Dark 4x4 thread

Post by Littlefoot » Tue Oct 27, 2009 5:13 pm

in this thread we share links, opinions and music regarding the early 2000s brief period of Breakbeat Garage / Dark 4x4

to be fair most of this sounds a bit soft and under produced by todays standards, but I always drop some of these tunes in sets and people go OFF

Jammin - Distraction, is a wicked intro tune dropped this many a time in the last month

what about: S and Z ? (sovreign and zed bias) .. to me that stuff is pure Dubstep before it had a name but fits in with this stuff too

If anyone could identify who the 'Badboy' behind this tune is I'd be grateful. Been trying to ID it for ages. The other mix of this is great too.

Edit: Was on Big Apple records if that helps...
please, just humour me...

Sovereign -Carmen

Exemen - Storm
The 9 - Speechless
Groove Chronicles - Blakjack
Ambidextrous bits
Daluq - Superfine (more brokenbeat but big tune)
Pussy Trak - hype remix
DJ Abstract - Took My Love Away

...these are all good tracks from Breakbeat days

A couple of weeks back Hatcha played some of this stuff on his Kiss FM show, I don't really know about it but fuck me it's good.
