i'm lovin' the vibes of We Are, quality fo' sho', would certainly lick this one!
Carla isn't my favorite, those housey synths aren't my cup of tea, seen?

You weren't kidding when you said you were taking things deeper, where you?
Bit of the Bury the Bwoy tip in Carla, which definately gets my vote. I'm useless at descibing sounds, but the main melody bit, not the bleepy bit, is awesome. It's like a really vague rave. Especially the second drop, where it's a kinda classic rave breakdown which could almost be going into some Trance tune or something, but then you get the Gallopstep again (as I have provisionally entitled it). Then the bit with the kids playing in the background which makes me think of Boards of Canada. At the risk of sounding incredibly pretentious, it doesn't really make me bruck out, more lie around remembering some awesome dance I went to a while ago.

Maybe not the best music journalism there, but in brief I think it's great.

'We Are' I don't think I can really comment on until I use my sub tomorrow. Using crappy headphones at the moment due to the whole 1am thing, and that is a deep bassline.

Also feeling the Soundclick buisness. How high quality is this 'Hi-fi' stream? It sounds much nicer than myspace, but the real advantage is not sitting around for 10 minutes while it 'connects'.

thanks a lot for the feedback

glad you like carla. used the galloping drums to increase the track's trippiness, especially after the breakdown. and yeh, the bass on we are is kinda lowwwwww.

soundclick is wicked

only thing is you don't get the networking that comes with myspace....

hi stream is like 128 i think. no more than 192 anyway.

better playing interface, immediate uploads that work etc. it's all wicked.

see you on the weekend

Carla = X-files in the location, lol.

I like it, but I think that main synth bit that comes in at the start (is that an organ or somthing?) seems a bit dry or lifeless, perhaps.

We Are - this is really nice. I'd like to hear this on a real system. the only thing I'd say is maybe to round out the kick some? But then again, maybe not, lol.

Good stuff. Really like that ravey vibe on Carla and the bouncy drums.

I'm definitely feeling "We Are" the most. I get a sense that I lot of the bass was cut out on the conversion, but I can still somewhat make out what was supposed to be in there. Both tunes are really nice though..good job!

i'll have a listen when i get back and see if the bass has been cut. may have undermixed it, not sure

cheers for listening

deep vibes everytime, dk.
i like where these seem to be headin, cant hear too much bass on my phones at work, though.

if any constructive criticism is to be offered:

the ravey synths that start off 'carla' do seem a bit too retro (not a bad thing if used sparingly), but i like how they drop out, and you relick em.

'we are' seems pretty straight forward...diggin the cowbell and congas fo sho.

keep em comin, bro.
