Yeah he's a fucking monster. I feel for anyone who is pitted against him for a fight :o

yep, david haye is like 6 foot 3 there thereabouts, and looks dwarfed next to valuev. 7 foot and weighing 24 stone

gotta say though, if anyone has a chance of beating him in that division, its haye

seen his last 3 or 4 fights, you can shoot me down for this, but, kinda reminds me of mike tyson when he really lets loose on his opponent

Have to confess, I don't really follow boxing too much, but I do enjoy seeing watching the big fights.

You sound like you know what you're on about mate - if I get this on pay per view, is it likely that it'll be a decent fight? Cos just from the size difference (and this is all a clueless person like me has to go on), it seems like it'll be over in the first couple of rounds.

its an exciting prospect for many reasons, valuev is the heavyweight champ, haye is a novice in the heavyweight division and has only earned his right to fight by extreme promotional stunts and trash talking.

valuev is built like a monster but hasnt really fought anyone of any real merit over the last few years, plus relies on his reach and jab too much. no-one has really upset him in the ring.

haye can upset him though, even though he is a newcomer to the heavyweight division hes the brightest prospect in recent times

so, its likely to be a decent fight yes, shaping up to be a great one, but you never can tell. as for it being over in a couple of rounds, hard to say, valuev isnt the most offensive fighter. plus, if he could really punch his weight he wouldnt be aloud in the ring

it won't be worth paying for. haye will win if he uses speed and movement. valuev is slow and defensive so i reckon it'll be dull to watch until haye lands a big shot.
no offense but he's nothing like tyson

if haye does what hes been saying hes going to do, it WILL be worth paying for

my only comparison with tyson was really the aggression he sometimes shows, and power

Can't see Haye winning this. Valuev has a huge reach advantage and will keep Haye at bay with his jab (he's a converted southpaw I think too, so his jab will hurt) and if he goes inside, he'll be at risk from big shots from Valuev. I reckon Haye has a bit of a suspect chin, he's been rocked a few times and knocked down, whereas Valuev has a chin of stone, don't think he's ever been rocked, let alone floored.

Haye will only win this by decision, but I can't see it going that far. Valuev by (T)KO.

yea, i dont think valuev has ever been knocked down before. but then who from his last few fights couldve managed that? none.

you could see from his last few he looked sluggish and wasnt taking them that seriously, i dont think that will be the case this saturday night

haye has been talking a hell of alot and obviously has got to his opponent. he knows he has to back it up too, just one more reason why this could be one of the best fights of late, or just a total flop for haye

Haye won't get the decison in Germany if it goes to points and is close.
Valuev is big and strong but he could stop a 46 year old Holyfield. If Haye gets in close valuev will find it difficult to hit him and tie him up. Haye win ko, maybe body shots.

are you saying the judges are biased? :D

thats the key for any boxer fighting a height/reach disadvantage, have to get in tight

he will too, i think he will take the fight to valuev and force him to fight, could turn into a real slug fest

the judges in Germany are the worst by a long way :D
I think Haye will def take it to Valuev but will be in and out before Valuev can do anything.

I dont particulary like Haye but think he'll take this. Freddie Roach reckons he will KO him. Apparently you can get Haye to win by KO at 9/1 - def worth £20

i must say ive seen some experts on sky saying the same, is it goes all the way and goes to a decision, valuev will prob get it.

look at what happened in tyson fury's fight a few weeks back, shocking decision by the judges at the end, frank warren was going nuts
