I need a sax VST (freeware) for starts. Looking 4 the type of sax in L Wiz's Cowboy universal. i no i wont get a great freeware plug but i wanna see wat is avalible for me
DVS Saxophone did the job for me till I got some kontakt multi samples.

You can't get a vst to sound like a real sax.
Find a friend who can play one and record them is the best way.

yeah midi horns are just whack imo. You can get them to sound ookkk if you process the shit out of them, and even then only for a hooky type riff or chords, no individual lines...
looks like you'll have to cough up, and I'm note even sure how good the expensive ones are.
