anyone know where i can get some burial sounding percussion hits, guess im talking about those woodblock type sounds hes got, obviously the sound comes from how he treats them but yeh.. u know what i mean

This one's got shit loads of garage kits, so I figure you'll be able to get the majority of those sounds via careful tinkering with the percussion on there.

Also experiment with pitching rimshots and sidesnare hits. I'm sure quite a few of his snares have had a lot of top rolled off them to make them sound like they're from old recordings (unless they're sampled off old recordings which might explain a bit)

get gamelan recordings. record yourself hitting metal things with a stick. ... honestly, processing is good, but just recording yourself throwing rocks at one of those big AC units (do you even HAVE those in london?
) can kick way too much ass.
course im like a percussion nerd. the chicks dig me till they see me in the street recording myself hitting street signs

yeh its all about getting intersting sounds at source. i doubt burial uses a lot of processing, i think its all about the sampling.
oh n check out massive attacks teardrop. then listen to prayer. cant believe he got there before me! crate digging is the name of the game if you wanna do the burial sound....
