i dont know what an "ISO" is, how it works, what the point of it is, but a friend told me i need it for Reason, so anybody that could break this down, step for step, in "How To Do That Shit For Dummies" language..... well, you would rock

.iso files are install files that run from CDs. So you can either burn the .iso file onto a CD and then when you put the CD in the drive you should be able to install the software.

If you do not have a CD burner to do this or cannot be bothered you can download "daemon" from http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/home

This is for creating a virtual CD drive on your computer that you can then 'mount' the .iso file. Basically it is like a fake CD drive but then you can install the files needed.

Dick, its against the rules in this forum to talk about cracked software. You're right, there's probably some people around here that use it but its just not what the production forum is here for. A google search will answer all your prayers, this is some low-level shit you're talking about. Come back with some tunes and some useful contributions and people will play nice.

So i see an ISO file in the Reason folder, and a "PowerISO38" file in the "Power ISO v4.4 Incl Keygen-CDR" that looks like it may be an installation?

is this something i need to install, or is that the thing i put on a CD?

You will need something like Reason.iso, not sure what the Poweriso stuff is about. Ask your mate who helped you sort the torrent out or use google. Its not hard to find a forum that lets people talk about illegal software.
