Favorite VST or Fx.....

Post by th@-pu$$y » Wed Nov 18, 2009 7:42 pm

Just wondering what everybody is feelin' right now. I've been playing around with the Itchy's Wonkey and have been having a lot of fun on it. Also just got the predator, it goes without saying that the thing kicks ass.

won't narrow it to one but right now my main go tos are

vsti:
Oatmeal
4front piano

fx:
psp nitro :D
epicverb
tc electronic
tal-bitcrusher

thing with nitro is that I have yet to go beyond tweaking the presets in various ways. there's so much possibilities of tweaking within 3 banks of presets....but soon time I will make something fresh

Cant get enough of Alchemy at the moment...... Being able to import wavs and fuck with them so creatively is a beath of fresh air.

Apart from that:

Vintage warmer
Nitro
Cyanide 2

Also been using the inbuilt FX in Recycle more recently. With some tweaking they can sound the shit. :D

Bootsy is ill, no panty man business there.

I use HF, LF, and Density the most though.

An eq bundle I love, if a grown man can harbor a love for a series of 1's and 0's is PSP's sQuad. I recommend to everyone to check out those eq's.

What's up with voxengo? I tried some of that stuff... maybe my ears are fried, but I didn't hear anything that I liked. What am I missing?

For the cack sound, I think blue is a stunning synth - hollow, clinical, and nasty all rolled up into a snowball packed with razorblades to the face, little darlin's.

Guess I'm gonna have to give blue a shot. I've been hearing mixed things bout it, but lately it seems to be on everyone's A list. Guess I got nothing to loose :6:

I've actually been waiting for the next 'What VST?' thread, 'cos I have a suggestion.

Alchemy

Not just for the granular re-synthesis hoodoo stuff. The VA is great, and the modulation is staggering. It has 3 filters per voice, plus two main filters, plus fx filters. Camel tube and bitcrush disortion, Sweeeet :D Nasty twisty b-lines aplenty

Best. Synth. Ever. :o
