Just wondering what people thought of this track?
It is still Grime, but it is sonically distant from many current Grime records.

its nice to hear more crossover, to hear a grimier aesthetic in a dubbier context, but if im honest this specific track doesnt really do it for me. i think maybe its just the bassline that doesnt get me, i like the atmospherics a lot
i think theres a lot of potential in this direction though, bringing the weirder sounds and more overt melodies of grime to a dubbier format, or to flip, bringing the grime/garage energy back to dubstep
and i hope it'll get people who dont usually rate grime to think twice!

Great direction on this one, toning the aggressiveness down and adding more atmospheric and subtle vibes. I'd like to see more of this for sure.
However, it also sounds very loopy and unrefined productionwise compared to, say, Danny Weed or Terror Danjah. It's a problem I've had with many of both JME and Skepta's instrumentals thus far. Hopefully they'll be able to sort this out once they've been at it for another while.

this is better than the usual skepta beat which sounds like he sat on his keyboard with the demo sounds from fruity loops on it
more interesting
like the way hes trying to do dubstep and grime together
but it sounds kinda cheesy innit
he needs to stop using so many stock sounds and make his own ones up

i love the use of stock sounds in grime, exactly the kind of anti-snobbery i love. if it works it works

I don't think Jammer's had any vinyl out since "Rudeboy", but there was the Neckle Camp mix cd (Straight Necklin) and this:
The highly anticipated (Jammer/Murkle Man) mixtape 'Are you dumb - volume one' is nearly here! The CD features the likes of Neckle Camp, Slewdem, Wiley, Newham Generals, Skepta, Tinchy Stryder, and more!
On
wednesday 13th December, www.ukrecordshop.com will be the only shop in the world to stock the CD.
