Beer Belly

Post by faust.dtc » Thu Nov 26, 2009 5:37 pm

Do you have one, have you had one or does anybody know of any effective diet or exercise routines to lose one?
Ive grown one over the last year and I really want to get rid of it as it is solid and doesnt match the rest of me. :-(

Beer belly's pretty much don't exist, you'd get that belly from anything if you ate enough. It's just beer has ludicrous amounts of calories. Drink less, exercise more, problem solved. I'm not sure if there's any form of alcohol which doesn't rock ludicrous amounts of calories? I'm sure I read even a single vodka has 100+ calories, but I may be wrong.

I like to imagine that anybody who posts on forums has a beer belly.

500 sit-ups when wake up and before bed, 200 press up's, 1 mile jog, and eat healthy .

thats what i do every day, it help's alot. Get yourself a little excerice program and that shit will turn into a steel six pack, allow having a keg.

Yeah I suppose its not just a beer belly, I do snack quite a bit and I guess my metabolism isnt what it once was. I really want a way of getting rid of fat in a localised area as I dont want to lose it elsewhere as well and ive read that sit ups alone wont get rid of it.

They do exist there is a visible differance between a fat belly and a beer gut. A beer gut is round and solid whereas a fat belly is soft and saggy. Trust me i have experienced both. Nowdays i sport a fat belly due to the excessive amount of grilled Pork neck which i consume. In the past my daily Dragon Stout habit produced a fine beer gut.

SCIENCE

The fact that if you have 10 pints in a night you've had your full daily allowance of calories in a tiny space, as well as fucking up your liver's ability to metabolise sugar whilst drinking contributes to the fatness.

i thought you did kung fu nonstop?!??

As long as your calorie intake is less than your output, you'll lose that gut. Although Christmas has a tendency to spoil that plan. TBH I think you'll lose some fat from everywhere regardless but I guess if you work a bit more on the exercises that target your gut area they might go from there first. Do crunches I guess, both upper body and lower body ones. Try rowing machines? Also, since I keep being told I should snack more to put on weight, I guess you could snack less and have more during main meals instead. What about eating more meat instead of carbohydrates and fatty things? Having said that I'm not exactly the best person to give advice on how to lose weight...

Also, you need to go out clubbing and dance like a lunatic more often!

No beer belly! 8) :D

Sweaty rave ups are definitely the best form of exercise. I've lost well over half a stone in one night on way too many occasions with the help of suppliments. I even stock up on a super size burger king meal beforehand, but it makes little difference :?

I've never weighed myself after but yeah, I'm fairly certain I can lose as much weight as a marathon runner after a particularly good night.

Seeing as we're doing 6-10 hour sessions with our heart rates almost constantly at 160bpm+, it's not surprising. Fuck the gym, atleast people enjoy dancing until their lower back starts to give way, no one enjoys running unless a big dog is chasing you.

the only exercise i get is the odd 30 mile mountain bike trial (once a month if that), shagging, and playing with my dog. I am trying to put weight on because I lost a load this year and it's really fucking difficult to do, put on half a stone in two months and can't seem to get past that. Just stay bang on 8.5 stone... I used to be 10 :?
