DJ Mixer

Post by s i c k b o y » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:59 pm

now then.. I know that there are threads about mixers somewhere on this forum but I couldn't find them, im sure i saw one recently too. Anyway I am buying some technics 1210 mk2s this week, but I need a good mixer for a relatively low price... anyone have any reccomendations?
also, do I need an amp? or is a mixer, 2 turntables, headphones and speakers sufficient for now?

This must be my third thread about creating a dj setup, haha. Almost there!

You should be able to find a used Vestax for that price.

No worries, look for a PMC 05 or 06.

xone 22 is a piece of shite!

it even looks shite...

Image

it has a horrible layout, the volume faders are too long, the fader knobs are too big, it has buttons for the line switch....a switch would be alot nicer.

Just buy something used.
You'll outgrow anything new and cheap in a few months.

Thanks for the comments
Wouldn't I be better off buying a new mixer rather than a used one? Used ones will be more worn an shit. Can anyone who knows everything about anything tell me how this one looks

I know the best mixers aren't cheap but what I'm looking for is the best cheap mixer, not the best expensive mixer.

any vestax pmc will do you well - strong build and top quality.

my favorite is the basic pmc
