For full disclosure, I don't have anything against Rusko, and like many, the first actual dubstep CD I purchased was Fabric Live with R&C. (37 is it?)

I can understand why the hardcore purists might think he is "ruining dubstep," which basically means "commercializing" dubstep. Which is what this track is doing. That's okay with me, its not FOR the hardcore purists. Its for the general unassuming public.

I give this track props for being formatically different than sooo much other "popular" music out there. Rusko is definitely carving out something new, and while it is affecting Britain more than us here, just be grateful that he is making headway in a relatively stubborn and paranoid industry which focuses on convincing you that crap tastes good rather than on making a decent product.

If an artist is considered "beyond criticism" you know that their marketing team has been doing its job well, so you should always be able to criticize something that smells funny to you.

However, I would never complain about Rusko knowing how many crappier artists there are out there that sell 10x more records but are 100x less interesting or original.

it's fun and that's what it's all about. like when you're at a night and someone spins you don't know what love is. everyone dances with a fucking smile on their face. you can't beat that kind of thing.

i like this tune. if it gets the ladies dancing then that's never a bad thing.
