Hypothetical Situation

You got 1500 usd or the equivalent in some other currency...what do you buy to add to your set up...excludin' a quarter lb. of the good stuff...

you enroll in your local community college's audio program(or other school, find the best in your neighborhood) where you have access to a wide array of equipment, professors, and deviant students... make some noise.


and if you didnt really come across $1500, apply for financial aid and do the same.

I think NoSpin has a very good point. I myself am trying not to get into the more is more mentality about gear. Because I can't afford it but also because it makes me work harder and learn more if I have less gear.

I was once crazy about the Genelecs too, know I am trying to make music sound good coming from my laptop speakers.

depends what your set up is.

me personally, a 16 track tape machine........or a nice set of monitors......or kyma

yeah nospin...south cackalackie is where i hail from...and unfortunately enough i am about a year and a half away from my major and i can't just up and drop out...there are a lot of factors that won't allow me to do that(i dream about it non-stop though), and a lot of people are lookin' towards me to help them out. but yeah i was just wonderin' what everyone would get...haha so i thought i'd just ask..
