TB 303 Plug In

Roland TB 303... In software form... Which is the best?
Looking for - authenticity, as analogue sounding as possible in the digital world... Plenty of presets, not that I can't sculpt myself, but trying to build sounds from a synth I don't own isn't easy and obviously sounds in tracks would have been editted in the mix, so I'm looking for plenty of presets I can tweak
Must be available in AU format...
All help appreciated, thanks.

Could somebody explain to me how to get this program to work? I downloaded the mac version and when I went to install it a box appeared saying something along the lines of 'Could not install because Rewire no longer supports the classic edition' or something...
A step by step guide to getting it up and running would be REALLY appreciated!

The last update to OS 9 was in 2001.
@wirez: it will not run if you have an intel mac or OS X 10.5 and up.

i still think that rebirth stacks up pretty well, as far as software emulations go anyway. the other two worth mentioning are audio realism bassline and d16 phoscyon. personally i prefer phoscyon.
btw both are compatible with mac.

Thanks all, sucks that Rebirth won't work with OSX
Checked out the other two, think I may have to go with the AudioRealism one as it's AU compatible as opposed to VST, I've found many of the VST's I use on mac slightly more unstable than the AU's...
If there are any more about keep them coming, I won't be purchasing until after new year anyway

Yeah, and Phoscyon for it's sound though it's not really true to the 303.
Rebirth isn't a very good emulation IMO, but it's a classic & it has a certain recognizable sound that's nice.
Check out
Creakbox &
Tau Bassline both have Mac versions and are pretty good.

It's a DIY hardware kit, pretty true to the sound.

Do some googling, someone online did a comparison. Rebirth didn't stack up so well (also not Mac compatible)
ABL2 is the one everyone agrees is the best.
I have Phoscyon which I like but I believe the AU is only in Beta, I am running it as a VST on Mac in Ableton. I am guessing you use Logic.

I use audiorealism bassline. Its ok I guess, but i haven't heard a real 303 "in the flesh" only on acid house records
