just to say i been blown away by so many dj mixes lately - dj sprinkles, jackmaster, scratcha, deadboy to name a few
think I may have been a bit over-active on this front of late but still here's another one..
it's got no real exclusives
all vinyl so not really bright and punchy (neither am I)
need new styli and a nice sounding mixer - no mids on this one
still i cant stop from havin a go
i'll attempt to resist the temptation to post any more for a whiles and get back to trying to improve!

ps, cor blimey that qx-1/mike dunn tune "love injection" on the dj sprinkles mix is a bit special innit

defo. his ethos and approach makes for a nice alternative to more bangin quick style mixes to say the least.

Yeah i love the title track and "reverse rotation" off his album. Did you read the interview? I love this bit:

"There are some things that really are generational. Like, there are many young Japanese DJs in their late 20’s with amazing collections of classic NY deep house from the late ’80s and early ’90s — much better than my own record collection in that sense — but they are missing the LOSER TRACKS! The embarrassing tracks that SUCK SHIT! Reality was not going to a club and hearing classics all night. Reality was hearing that one fucking amazing cut in the middle of hours of shit. I try to bring that dynamic to all of my sets."

it's hard to get my head around and yet on another level i really relate to that
it's also opening up a lot of scope to play sorta lesser tracks to support more obviously appealing tracks
takes a brave man to do that!!
i'm sure i've had the experience of a dj making a shit record sound good
