honestly i love ronnie but i think it'd be better all round if he started having breakdowns in his own time. hendry's a boring c**k at the best of times, but really he was proper understanding about it. ronnie....mate. sort it out

he gave up the match (and a place in the semi final) when he was only 3 frames down, out of
17 frames. its like making 5 moves on a chessboard then knocking ur king over. the man is troubled! he werent exactly having fun last year but this is not a good look for rocket

seems like ronnie has depression
when they started the coverage last night they had a load of clips of previous wierd things his done and the overall jist of the collection was that he's a depressed guy who doesnt cope well with the pressure he puts himself under when he steps up to the table
hope he can get himself together as he is amazing when he's on form

Looks like you hit the nail on the head their Mr. Whistla, just watched a video link about him on the bbc website talking about being unmotivated, paranoia and fluctuating emotions. Every genius has their floor. It goes to show that mental illness is no respecter of status or wealth.

It's been obvious for years the poor guy is unstable and has emotional problems. It a real shame. I once read a quote from him that went along the lines that he really resents having this gift that he was born with but, there's nothing he can do about it so he keeps on playing.
It must be a massive burdon for him to have this ability that he really isn't comfortable with.
What else can he do though? Follow in his dads footsteps?

To be honest i wouldn't be suprised if we read some very unfortunate headlines about him in the near future...

he plays left-handed when he's bored!! he's a remarkable talent, and deeply troubled as well clearly. didn't he convert to buddhism and find a bit of inner peace a few years ago? it obviously didn't stick
who's seen the 147 he made in LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES
