"New, trendy type trends, things and cool stuff" Thread

Post by diss04 » Tue Dec 22, 2009 10:32 pm

Let me know some of them 'cos I haven't got a fucking clue.

Someone mentioned fixed-gear bikes as being "in" and monocles "coming back" or some other bollocks and I felt so far out of the loop that I nearly forgot which loop I was supposed to be in.

fixed gear bikes are for ethnic peace keeping vegan broccoli stnuc. nothing cool about them (unless you listen to music recorded by beardy types that think they're the new wave of psychedelia).

know what's trendy? Animal Collective.

Yeah people are always riding that shit around my area, it's weird.

But it's not vegans it's more insane shoreditch types with moustaches, acid wash t-shirts and bowties.

Literally.

And baggy t-shirts with a pocket on.

I need to move out of East London.

denim shirt, deck shoes with no socks, sitting in a hoxton cafe browsing ffffound on the macbook your parents bought you, listening to yeasayer, riding a fixie with the rubber grips removed so it's just bare metal handlebars ...

The part of East London you are in is full of cocks it seems. And traditionally sounds nothing like the East London I know. Not saying you are wrong or anything G, but I would never constitute Shoreditch as east London, even though it comes under that postcode! I know that sounds as pretentious as some of those fuck's are, so i apologise if I come off like that.

Fixed wheel bikes are cool, it seems you don’t just don’t understand how they work? lol... And also, unless it is one of those “city” bikes or whatever those suits ride nowdays, and that is what ALL of the studenty “dubstarp yah!” wankers are riding, then that IS just a fashion/trendy thing, but fixed geared bikes, I would never constitute as being IN or OUT?? (lol at simple bike mechanic fashions!)

Although, completely agree about those T-shirts and dickhead haircuts, those people need drowning, asap.

Masturbating over Hyperdub recording artist and microscopically analysing there every movement and quotes.

that I definitely agree with! Especially when the better artist's on the roster are over-shadowed. Ikonika for example. And LV. Scratcha's thing on HD is going to be gutter, watch out for that in the new year!

and yes james, your comments re: sitting in cafes, macbook etc, are spot on.

i lived in hackney for two years, and i'd say that the whole of shoreditch, hoxton, hackney, bethnal green, cambridge heath, dalston, stokie, are riddled with these people. it's only when you get down clapton / leyton / homerton, it gets a bit more road

If we all spread the word that suicide is the new flatcap, maybe more and more hipsters will kill themselves.

Patting yourself on the back for being cooler than the cool people is the big look this season.
