i have soo MIDI questions...

right now im going through MIDI to usb out of an 84 key Kurzwell. hahaha. the lag is crazy.
im trying to get a new MIDI keyboard and was looking for some suggestions. im not trying to pay out the ass, but i also dont want slum piece of shit.

are use using a audio interface? if not a new keybord will not help you

Btw, why does it have to be MIDI? can you not use USB or something else?

are you sure you have the correct drivers installed, even if you dont think it needs any its worth checking to see if there are some, could save you a load of ££

im not to sure. i mean the shit i use now works. its just not as on point as I would like. i use reason. i have a m-audio midi out to usb. i dont think im using audio interface.

you really don't need an audio interface unless you have money to spend. it would solve your latency problems, but adjusting the buffer size/length in reason should also solve that. use asio drivers if you can.

^^ big up relik. sup bruv its shane from dubwize. i have asio v2 .. asio buffer size is 512 samples... is that legit?

word. didn't know you were on here. 512 is standard. if you still have latency issues with that, then i don't know. shouldn't unless your computer is super old or the onboard sound or whatever sound card you are using is complete garbage.

dude... with my axiom 25 hooked up to fl studio i have to have it at 2048 samples (42 ms). and then i have to raise the buffer when i get deeper and deeper into producing a song. that shit pisses me off, i think my laptop just cant handle it.
