Vowel Filters

There was an old thread on the subject, but I suppose it was mostly overlooked or something.

Anyway, I'm looking for a new vowel filter for mac osx... Currently using Sugar Bytes WOW (I'm pleased), but I would like to see what else is out there. Is anyone aware of any nice vowel/formant filters? In my case, preferably ones that run on mac :D

I'm looking for one where virtually any parameter can be automated... Talking bass is whuritzat.

I don't need it to be AU... VST is fine as long as it works on mac.

I am interested in this as well, and if anyone knows of another good free or pay vst for PC. i currently use a freebie called forma-8.

I thought sugarbytes wow was the best.....is there a reason you don't like this?

Melda Production MFilter can easily be used to create vowel sounds by using a shelving filter with loads of harmonics and a high resonance.

It is available on Mac.

Tone2 Bifilter. Vowels, Combs plus about 30 other fucked up crazy filter types. Tis the bizness
Mac friendly and my reccomended choice.
Only downside is you have to automate all the cutoff points. Lots of fiddly line drawing but worth it.

This is my first post here so take my opinion for what it's worth, but I will second the recommendation for BiFilter. Just picked it up last week. I also tried Volcano and WOW but really liked the aggressiveness of BiFilter. Several distortion types and many many filter types. It's a steal for the price!

I don't see a lot of people talk about it when filters come up but it's definitely worth a look. It was going to be my secret weapon until reso ruined that plan. At least I'm in good company.
