Fantastic group. I've been listening to their older stuff and just realized how much of it sounds like modern day dubstep.

AI series is gorgeous, I don't listen to it nearly enough. I agree about their later stuff being a bit weaker, I find it quite cold for want of a better word.

Incredible band.

Fav's are Parhelic Triangle, Drane2, Foil, Gantz Graf, Whose Bad Hands are These (remix) and the remix of Coil's Dark River, if it was them.

Aren't the bonus tracks just the Garbage and April Vapre EPs?

Good thread. I saw them at Glade '08 and it was undoubtly the most amazing musical experience I have ever had.

I've chatted with mates before about the 'dubsteppy' sounds they used to have, the last tune on Anvil Vapre (hilariously called Second Peng) has a weird half step vibe and some tracks off Icunabula (Doctrine for exmple) sound really dubsteppy although alot more atmospheric and considered.

two of my all time favourite musicians. some autechre material still blows my mind! i can't wait to get a hold of the new record.

quaristice hate is so unjust. i'm just throwing that out there. what a spectacular album (and the live edits were peachy too)
