ok ive been looking at pc's and these 2 are the best i could find in my price range but which is better ?

only suggestion im gonna make is avoid pc world at all costs

you can build those pc's for less than half the price if you know someone who knows enough about pc's to do it

yeh ignore the second one theres no point with going dual core anymore especially when its so cheap now to go quad! i jus bought a pc off pc world, know its expensive but you get good warranty nd decently built computers! You can get amazing spec pcs on ebay for dirt chep but its becasue none of the components go well together and they havnt been built as well.

At around 400 quid for a complete you wont be able to get a decent quad core. (I wouldn't of thought so anyway.)

Its not the processors that are expensive as such, its that you need a current motherboard to house it, so even tho the processors have come down you need a relativly new motherboard that has the socket for it.

(Unless you go down the Q series intel route they use the same socket at the dual core intels, but they are also not that much faster than the dual core, and in some instances alot slower.)

If you can stretch a little bit more, a system like this will last you SO much longer

The compontants on this are far more current and will last you far longer than the 400 quid one will. That DDR3 memory is SUPER quick, and well worth every penny. In a nut shell, this is future proof. 2 years down the line you wont be looking to upgrade again beacuse your system cant handle the new generation of VSTi's that use more resources than ever.

I just built my new pc for around 450quid that has similar specs to that novatech one. Don't bother with that pc world junk, total waste of money as you'll be looking to upgrade in about a years time.

Just make sure you get an i5 processor/ some decent 4gb ram and a decent motherboard I went with this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... ubcat=1495

pc runs cubase with loads of instances of seperate vstis (battery/massive/camel stuff etc etc) without a hint of slowing down and cpu usage has only hit around 20% at peak. Even re-wired with reason still no problems
