Would anyone who has it be willing to analyze a pattern for me?

Had drums, n pilled these samples onto t, n now it most definately has a key to it, and i have a feeling I could get the bassline tuned to it a bit better with m.i.k. results...

pm?

based on my experience i'd say it is 75% accurate, most of the times tends to mistake major and minor (ie,tells you the track is A when its A minor)

You could always use your ears to work out the notes. I may seem fucking tedious and like a whole lot of hard work but the more you do it the more you get used to it and as you get used to it you're whole production ability steps up to the next level!

I kinda feel like if you are that worried about someone biting it, then you should certainly do all the legwork yourself.

Figure out the notes the hard way - trial and error with a keyboard or whatever...

they key detection in vdj is terrrible b/c it only samples a certain amount of the tune and decides the key based on this sample

im sure it samples the start / first 32 bars

b/c i mix tunes that vdj says are wrong n wont go when they do .... dont always rely on this

use your ears u might be missing out on some bangin mixes

Big up dude, i KNOW this, I think you came up on the same sense of Djin as me, Ive listened to your mixes. But, we also both produce, so you know the importance of things in the tune BEING in key with each other before you drop them. Where a mix takes you is chance n feel, where a sample goes is cold fact.

out of key mixes really grind my gears lol ;)

*thats the reason i havnt done a jan mix yet b/c i havnt got enough strong tunes to complete it yet so i think im gonna do a winter, spring, summer and autumn mix rather than monthly

monthly is hard work lol ... esp trying to find fresh shizzle for each one

Really?

I dont think so so much, I find that with some creative placement the creative commons and 320plz networks really keep me in new, if not terribly quality, dubs...

Dont schedule your mixes, just tracklist them before hand if your recording or whatever. And then, when your traklisting for recordings, learn to tell what has been building up as fill and whats worth droppin for a mix...

Ive got gigs n gigs of step, tade ya for some dnb.

There is no shortage of music out there but about .01% of it is worth playing imo. Good on anyone for taking the time to weed out the shite.
