If you had £1m....

If you won the lottery, were given, or recieved as a bonus, £1m, what would you spend it on/invest it in.

I personally wouldnt do much. Id buy a small villa in greece, spain or france with alot of land, buy a nice simple studio setup and that would be it. id simply do sweet fuck all apart from spend all my time listening and making music.

I'd also invest small amount in either some shares or invest in a strip club/porn publisher (because old men love tities)

Doesn't sound like a bad idea actually.
I'd buy some property, buy all of the stuff that I want which isn't a lot to be honest and then invest the rest.

id fritter it away on a massive house with loads of cool stuff like a bouncy castle room and a slide instead of stairs and a studio. lots of weed, sluts and kebabs... then i'd seal myself in a box made of hash and see if i can smoke my way out of it

basically i would be so outrageously hedonistic that i would probably die before the million ran out

but substitute the villa in greece, france or spain for a 5 bedroom country farmhouse in england in the middle of nowhere, with a couple of barns & some land

Exige, house with studio and large garage, low interest investments. and possibly a bar/club depending on how much that would cost.

Id pay off my mortgage and then live off the interest. Id also take out 100k and split it equally between family so they can do what they want with it.

Even though 1m is more than I will ever have I dont think it is really a huge amount these days, not enough to quit my job anyway....but it would come in handy.

I would invest the whole lot in astrazenca shares in the morning, and walk away with double the money by the close of the stock market.

Then with my £2million I would put aside £1mill for similar endevours and then put the rest on a house and pay off any debt of my parents and my own debt. Then probably go and do a phd in something like citizenship and civic participation.

(very boring)

Id also do some bitch ass big hedonistic party, and buy a car and a bullmastif.

I'd buy a nice but not to flashy house, a fun car to piss around in (once again nothing mad Nissan GTR probably), marry the misses. Give some money to my family...

Then if there was enough left over to live off the interest for a while i would probably do an MA.

After that I would probably try and start up a small business and move on from there..

I think 1million would be more than ample to make life a hell of a lot more comfortable/enjoyable. Also when you have money its easier to make more...

Turned out it was £32,000,000.

£1,000,000 would buy you a nice house, a nice car, a nice holiday. And that's it. If you spent any more, eventually you wouldn't be able to maintain the house and car.

but a macintosh and a wacom, music programs and just be busy with it without having to worry to get financial reward of it.

Build my own little hippy eco house outside of Oxford or in the South Downs, give some to the British Liver Foundation. Potter about growing weed, knock around Europe, Asia and South America for a bit. Give a third of it to my friend who has MS so she doesn't have to worry about paying for care.

I'd buy one of these though and do the festival scene properly:

Couldn't you get a mortgage and just pay it off with the interest, same with the car, buy it on finance and shit?

I'd buy a house and a nice car and probably put the rest away to "suppliment" my income and fund my (hopefully early) retirement. Would probably keep working, tbh, but I certainly wouldn't be doing odd shifts and overtime anymore.

Now, if someone gave me £10m (or £32m according to DRTY)... that's a different story!
