Aahh, cheers for that. No wonder Vinnie had a look on his face like, "what a twat". He's right in theory, you could live forever but why on earth you would want to and why is it a good thing? We're already over-populated and old people stink of moth balls and fox's glacier mints.

We got comfortable and lazy.

Death is something we see as necessary because it's a reality we're forced to live with - it's a "fact of life". However, I bet if 99% of you had the opportunity to die "now" or "later", you'd choose later. And you'd probably carry on choosing "later" until you had no choice anymore. It's not like someone's going to come up to you tomorrow and say "do you want to live until you're 250?".

There are lots of problems arising from extended life, but I don't think they'll figure in the final reality in the slightest - it'll be a continuation of the gradual increase in life expectancy that advancing civilisation has witnessed for the past few centuries at least.

It would be amazing if it was only me and 50 other people who were allowed to live forever. Because then you would know loadsa stuff and met loadsa people and done loadsa stuff. I'd do it
