Tupac was not a poet. He was a second rate mc from Digital Underground who were infinitely better then both he and Biggie.

I'll go with Tupac, just for 2pacalypse Now and Strictly for my ******. Never really got into Biggie, couples of tunes I liked. Also Tupac did this which is a classic.

EDIT Lol at Stirctly for my successful blackmen  Doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

You don't make any sense... They're both rappers...

My favourite has always been biggie, his deliverance tops tupacs, both got good flows, but I prefer biggies style, his punchlines are sick...

I got seven Mack 11's, about eight- 38's
Nine 9's, ten mack tens, the shits never ends
You can't touch my riches
Even if you had MC Hammer and them 357 bitches
Biggie Smalls; the millionare, the mansion, the yacht
The two weed spots, the two hot glocks
That's how I got the weed spot
I shot dread in the head, took the bread and the lamb spread
Little Gotti got the shotty to your body
So don't resist, or you might miss Christmas
I tote guns, I make number runs
I give mc's the runs drippin
when I throw my clip in the AK, I slay from far away
Everybody hit the D-E-C-K
My slow flow's remarkable, peace to Matteo
Now we smoke weed like Tony Montana sniffed the yeyo
That's crazy blunts, mad L's
My voice excels from the avenue to jail cells
Oh my God, I'm droppin shit like a pigeon
I hope you're listenin, smackin babies at they christening

v

2 of my favourite biggie freestyles...

And for Tupac, I love this...

Dark angel, fall from the heavens above, send me an angel to heal my heart from being in love... After all of the love for you, in my life, but it wasn’t good enough for you, I can’t take no more tears from my eyes.... But it wasn’t good enough for you, I can't take no more hurt from that time....

For me its Biggie. His style, his freestyles, the beats, the topics, the humor, the funkyness, bare skills. Would have loved to hear a properly laid down tune with Biggie of some west coast g funk.

I like Tupac too but he's no Biggie Smalls. Saying that Machiavelli was sick.

This for sure.

If Big L hadn't been shot, I reckon he would have been bigger then both of them. Big L hands down my favourite rapper.

Here's two my fav bits from each.

I prefer Biggie's flow - even though back in the day I used to listen to 2Pac more back in the day it's some of Biggie's verses which I find the most memorable... I'd say his music has aged better too, but that probably has as much to do with the production - all the beats on Ready To Die are big

Way back when i was all about 2Pac but i think i overplayed All Eyez On Me Rarely listen to Pac now but frequently listen to Biggie.
Both were very talented individuals, it's a terrible thing that they fell over some bullshit.

I fuckin love this tune.

They simply don't make Hip Hop like they did in the 90's

Biggie was a better MC.

2Pac made better records.

Biggie was better at rapping. Tupac was probably a better lyricist, though.

I had 2pacalypse Now on last week, wierdly. Violent is still a fucking TUNE.

Brenda's Got A Baby sounds a bit cheesy now, but it still hits.

Biggie, always thought 2pac was a bit too glossy.
