(not spam) record boxes offered free

I'm getting out of the scene forever, so hundreds of grime and dubstep vinyls will be auctioned off over the next month or two, as will my turntables. the time has come, and there is no turning back.

I've done/seen everything I've wanted to see and do over the last 25 years, and nearly died for it a couple of times as well haha. Next DMZ will be my last-ever rave, and that's final. Not that anyone on here will care ;) but that's not the point anyway. I have an expensive champagne-drinking sarf London playa lifestyle (lol) so something had to give eventually haha

So... if anyone wants either the record bag or the metal record box in this picture, it's yours. Free.

The only catch is that you have to collect from my ends, so this offer is probably only practical for someone who lives in or near south London.

Both items were bought last summer, and unlike many of my previous record bags/boxes, neither have been contaminated by coke/weed/ket/beer/ketchup etc, so they are in great condition! Not worth putting on Ebay due to weight.

PM me if interested.

:( That sucks, but I'm sure you know what you're doing.. You've recorded loads of radio shows recently, really grateful for them!

Ben UFO:
big up yourself, it's nice that people appreciate the uploads. I've got (ahem) bare files which aren't on Barefiles :D - maybe I should put up a rival site? lol

dogdaze:
I've been doing this ting since before most of you on here were born. there's far too many other things going on in my life, and although I absolutely LOVE the music still, I just don't enjoy the "rave" atmosphere as much as I used to, but enjoy other things more. I wondered when my time would come - I thought it would be when UKG went all Pete Tong, but then grime came along and old skool events got better, so I carried on! But nothing has managed to better the last DMZ I went to, so I've realised it's time to call it a day.

thanks for the PMs everyone. I'll reply when I've had some sleep, I'm over tired. :(

pass on da glory

if you really want to do this then here's an idea.
i just got started to get the hang of the dub culture. i've spinning for years, lots of dnb course. no one i know around here knows of this music and some might but truly just can't grasp it cuz they don't have any local talent. i would like to be that local talent, and will be. i'm trying hard to put things together and so far i have come across a few individuals willing to do this with me. long story short your music will go a long way around here and also when i return to my home country, brasil. let me know and peace on your decision. :?:

It seems sad that you want to get rid of everything you've collected over the years, but as Ben says, it seems like you know what you're doing. I do know where you're coming from, to some extent.

Good luck!

Who says something like this won't happen again at some point? If you don't think that this possibility is worth hanging on for then fair play, but I'd say that the risk of you ending up regretting this decision bitterly is pretty high.

Best of luck to you either way.

Aye, but maybe it's more about wanting a complete change in lifestyle than getting bored with a type of music. Who's to say.

wow that's a major NY resolution

did you make any vinyl over the years?

i'm thinking later on you just may need something like njoi anthem to refresh a failing memory. bet some tunes still give goosebumps once we're pensioners; plus never underestimate the health (body and soul) benefits of mixing it up.

You sound certain but if not......maybe you could lock it all away for 2007 see if you miss it?

All the best for the future and enjoy the second half of your life.

edited - just seen another of your posts http://dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?p ... ht=#153647 and wondered....how did you rip vinyl to cdr.....and any chance you have any dvds burned with tunes from 1988-1992ish?
