Cool hidden Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts

I love discovering new shortcuts by bumping the wrong buttons! My newest discovery:

Highlight any text in any program (text edit, microsoft word for mac, itunes even), press
[COMMAND] + [SHIFT] + L
and Safari opens up a new tab (or new window, depending on your prefs) and googles whatever words you had selected, exactly as they were.

Handy!

Another cool one is if you have your email set up through the mac "mail" program OR if you use gmail and have the "Gmail Notifier" installed and turned on. Navigate to a webpage, press
[COMMAND] + [SHIFT] + I
(that's a capital i) and mac will automatically compose a new message in either 'mail' or gmail with the url of that webpage copied in the body of the email, ready to type recipients. Makes the process of passing along cool links buttery smooth!

if it's turned on in syspref, [cmd] [alt] and [+] or [-] lets you zoom in on the screen, there are a few different option for how it tracks with the mouse movements etc, fun fun!

Apple+Alt+D when your cursor is over a word, brings up the dictionary definiation of it. Only works in Cocoa apps like Safari, TextEdit, Skype not Chrome and Firefox (yet).

or for the mavericks out there... OPTION+SHIFT+COMMAND+DELETE will empty trash without asking for confirmation. reckless lunatics.

i'm sure you guys know this, but in safari..from the window menu, open "activity" window. go to youtube for example, or vimeo and click play on a video. while that video is playing go to the activity window... scroll down to find the streaming content (usually a flv or mp4)...highlight it now press down option + mouseclick. the file will download to your desktop. you can use activity to download anything that comes into safari, unless its heavily java scripted (protected).

Make sure you're holding down the function modifier as well, "fn".
