Your help will be muchos appreciated

Music is a form of art.
End of your dissertation right there.
However, theres a guy from Bristol who VJed for Headhunter I believe, and Letty from Super Dubpressure used to dabble in it at the old Dubpressure nights at the volks.

There are photographers who do a lot in the dubstep world. Not sure how many ONLY do dubstep based work, since they wouldnt actually make any money! haha I remember seeing some southern bird in a youtube video that was photographing the london scene, but that was a few years back.

So it's not so much "Is dubstep art" but "has dubstep influenced art" - which is more of an interesting subject anyway I feel.
music influences art, so most would assume that if you're in to dubstep, it's likely had an influence on your life in some way.
You might want to mention the notion that for music producers it can be the other way around - does other art influence the way producers create dubstep (which in turn is an art its self)
Without defining "art" (which I challenge anyone to do succinctly) you can pretty much present any argument in any form and find reasons and situations.

In terms of the music you could discuss Kant's distinction between art and craft in his theory of aesthetics and see which category the music fits in? My guess is probably the latter...

I think I saw a documentary about her....on some obscure bbc internet channel! she can't have made much money out of it though...and mostly took photo's of the crowd, as I guess it's difficult to capture a lot about how the music makes other people feel by focusing just on the DJ's.

music influences art, so most would assume that if you're in to dubstep, it's likely had an influence on your life in some way.

Defining art I would say is near on impossible, I've tried to just argue that the music is art in itself for me personally anyway! The images it congers (sp?) to the listener are immense and music on the whole is art. But to cover the brief I have to focus on the visual scene....and yes to put it the way you have and ask "has dubstep influenced art?" makes for even more discovery into the genre and peoples visions after hearing it....transferred onto paper, canvas or through the lens.....interesting indeed! Thank you for your input on this, it's given me a lot to think about!
