Hey all! I was hesitating on whether to post this in mixes or the Hip-Hop forum but I guess it's more appropriate here. I just finished a 60 minute mix eulogising and celebrating New York's Definitive Jux label which is unfortunately ceasing to release new music in the near future. My compadre Jeff Weiss and I also wrote a few words about one of the most important left-leaning rap labels of the decade. Feel free to check it out
Edit: also, this is not an unmixed collection of songs by the same name that's been floating around. its an actual (ableton) mix.

I see El-P as a diety among underground hiphops elite but def jux hasnt put out a good record since his last solo effort, and with the demise of physical formats there is no reason for defjux to exist in its current form. i have no doubt El-P will still put out quality uncompromising music. except for Mr Lif (im from boston originally) i dont really care what anyone else affiliated with the label does.
BUT......please for the love of god release "king of hearts" already. camu was a beast. the most creative person on the label after El-P. please do that man justice and put his fucking album out so i can buy two copies.
