Like.....If you listen to the first 30 seconds on 90% of my tracks on souncloud, they start with a pad .....


Anyone else do something simular to this? Its starting to annoy me I need to break the habitttt!

I tried stopping once but it wasn't a good idea.

Recently I can't stop making bass patches, I never use them in songs I just... make them. I can't remember the last time I actually put something in the sequencer

I cant seem to stop pre-mastering, you know start eqing and compressing the track before its finished?

Make a loop, fix it up, play it on loop for a couple days, think of what i can add to it, add nothing to it. Start new track (rinse and repeat). I have about 100 loops i've made sitting on my harddrive. I like them all but i never progress them into songs. I spend about a week making each loop. Meh

What I really cant stop doing is getting the ideas in my head to come out in some other way than I intended and going with it.

i can't stop putting ridiculous amounts of shuffle on my tracks, and making tunes with swung eighth feels... sometimes i hear good dubstep with the drums playing straight 16ths...i go, hey, that sounds cool i'll try it... sit down with DAW, lay some hats and snare... and before i know it i'm bumping that groove knob past 50%... i dunno what it is, the shuffle gets me every time
