They were ready to be brought into service by the Liverpool police force but, they were told they had to apply for the appropriate paper work from the aviation authority before they could do so. So the plans have been shelved until said license has been obtained. lol

it's actually a pretty simple machine.
A few years ago i was a bit of an RC freak and i did some research after these things: little helicopters on gas, quadrocopters, tricopters. You name it.
It works with 3 sorts of gyroscopes (to maintain the balance) and they programmed the machine in a way that if the winds hits it, it'll stay in perfect balance.

they have also long distance live streaming camera glasses. So you can fly this thing for like 5 miles away and see what the copter sees :p

When i was watching it i was thinking imagine if they built a full size one (human size) so someone could fly it and it would be proper mental if it had the same rate of acceleration.
